I know I know, we have all heard this before, probably when we were young. "What is good for the goose is good for the gander". I say a hearty "Nay, Nay"
You when a prize after your hard work and perseverance. That prize is yours. It does not belong to anyone else. If they did not put in the effort, why should they receive the award? Just asking.
I have to admit, most of the the time when this phrase was used at my house, was because I tried to cheat my big brother out of something, then my mom when give it back to him, double. I would say, "Hey that's not fair" and she would respond, "What is good for the goose is good for the gander". I am not complaining so much about many occurrences I heard this as a young whipper snapper. Undoubtably I deserved it. I learned a lot of good life lessons from these nuggets of child hood memories.
If you cheat someone out of something, and then get cheated, that is a Goose and Gander moment. The hard part is to admit...It might just be my own fault.
Today I will be the Gander, and try to post on some of my fellow challengers Blogs, then as the Goose you can come back a drop a note here on my blog.
So lets remember this little life lesson.
Have a great a Saturday.
